Solar Eclipse Announcement

CFCA Families,

God has blessed us with a great first week of school, and we are looking ahead in anticipation of what God has in store for CFCA. On the afternoon of Monday, August 21, there will be a solar eclipse that can be viewed in our area. As you know, there is a possibility of damage to one’s eyes if you were to view the eclipse without proper eye protection. Therefore as a precaution, we will not have outdoor activities (playground time, PE, and practices) between 1:00 and 4:00pm. If you would like to check your student out early, it will be excused; we would just ask that you please wait until after 12:00pm so that your child will still be counted present for the day. If you do plan to get your student early, it would be very helpful if you were to send in a note to your child’s teacher by Friday letting us know of your intentions, so that we plan accordingly. Pickup lines might run a little slower that day as we will keep the students inside until their ride is here, rather than lining them up outside. Late stay will run as normal, but as a courtesy, we will not charge for anyone that is picked up by 4:30pm. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 478-788-6909.
